What are coins?

How you earn and spend WordGamr’s in-game currency.

Coins are WordGamr’s in-game currency. You earn them by:

  • clearing a level: 10, 20 or 30 coins for 1, 2 or 3 stars the first time, and the difference when a replay earns more stars
  • clearing the Daily Challenge: 50 coins
  • Clock Run: 30 coins for each puzzle you solve
  • the Bonus Jar: 10 coins for every 3 new bonus words
  • Daily Coins, which drop when you play days in a row
  • Chests

Coins from play stop at 250 a day. Daily Coins, the coins in Chests you buy, and coins for pieces you already own don’t count toward that. A Coin Magnet doubles what a round earns, and its extra coins don’t count either.

You spend coins on Chests, Power-up Rockets, Boost Boxes, Power-ups, Hints and limited-time Styles. Chests hold random items, and the Shop shows every Chest’s odds before you buy. Coins can’t be exchanged for money.
